This is a recipe that I have on a random piece of paper floating around in my recipe drawer. It is great when you want something comforting, creamy and bacon-y. It is really good and pretty easy!
- 8 oz. penne pasta
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp ranch mix
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup bacon (I used bacon bits)
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
Cook and drain pasta.
Melt butter in a sauce pan, add flour stirring until blended. Add milk, heat and stir until mixture thickens. Stir in ranch mix and cheese. Stir in chicken, bacon and pasta.
It’s not detailed on my piece of paper, but I suppose you could serve it right from the sauce pan, or pour everything into a casserole dish and heat it in the oven until the cheese is melted.
