I’ve been going back through some of my old posts and menus lately and it seemed fitting to pull a menu plan out of the past and revisit it. So this week, I’ll be cooking the foods featured in my menu plan from January 24th, 2016. Read the post and visit the menu items here.
The thing I like about this menu is that it’s a good deal of pretty simple recipes coupled with some timely Mardi Gras flavors. There is nothing that says “reward” after a few weeks of sticking to your diet like a slice of home made king cake! Give it a try – you won’t be disappointed.
Another feature from last year’s blog post is the focus on infused water. I’ve been trying to work this back into my regular rotation, and this was just the push I needed. That and this amazing pitcher, which I’m going to have to buy because my old one broke and I didn’t get a new one for Christmas (even though it was on my list!)
In any case, last year’s menu looks good, and I’m looking forward to a week of yummy foods!
Finally, I’m taking a little trip – a jaunt really – over to Savannah next weekend with one of the girls for a college visit. If anyone has any food-related recommendations for me send them along! Nothing too fancy or expensive, but I’ve heard there are some amazing places, so bring it on!
