Several years ago I purchased some reusable water bottles for us to take on a family vacation. I was tired of spending $10+ at every gas station for sodas and beverages that I eventually poured out and threw away. The vacation budget was tight, and packing snacks and drinks was a good way to reduce our cash expenses and spend more on things like dinners out and souvenir t-shirts.
Little did I know that this one purchase would kick off a years-long affair with reusable water bottles. Seriously, we have a lot of water bottles.
And honestly, I’m not ashamed.
I don’t buy cases of water any more, except for the one or two per summer that are requested by various sports teams. And we drink A LOT of water.
Every day, the girls bring a bottle of water with them to school. Between classes, lunch and after-school sports, they’re always toting water around. And it’s easy for me to grab one or two and throw them in the car if we’re going to be gone for the day or going on a road trip.
These are my favorite water bottles, and are the ones I bought all those years ago (the design has changed, but that’s about it.) They are dishwasher safe – although, I usually hand wash them in a sink full of hot soapy water – and have lasted for a very long time without chipping or breaking. I highly recommend them!
