It’s another busy week at the Almasy house. So we’re going with some quick and easy dishes, and more than likely a few evenings of last-minute outings. There are some new recipes here, though, that you should enjoy. Happy eating!
Grown up grilled cheese – I found this recipe on Pinterest (of course.) It calls for the sandwiches to be made with pound cake (!!!) which sounds delicious, but actually more like a dessert than a dinner. I’m using a good country white bread instead.
Creamy Fettuccine with peas and ham – There is lots of ham on sale post-Easter, so grab some up and give this new recipe a try.
Pasta with meat sauce – Yes, more pasta! My girls are student athletes and need lots of carbs during the season. I’m happy to oblige, since pasta is one of my top 5 foods!
Pizza – Yep, the Almasy family loves them some pizza. Go with home made if you have time, but in a pinch, the take and bake pizzas from Harris Tetter are topping my list these days. Pro tip – Monday’s at the HT on Falls of Neuse (north of 540) you can get any toppings you want – as many as you want – for only $7.99 per pizza.
Grilled sausage, mac & cheese & steamed broccoli. Simple but yummy. Choose your favorite sausage from the wide variety available at the grocery store. I’ve enjoyed trying some of the chicken sausage flavors. This week we’re going with mango & jalapeno.
